Prior to the election, a short program was held to discuss the Association’s Annual accomplishment including the financial status for CY 2019, which was headed by PhilKOFA President Gina Borinaga.
With the special theme on the 70th bilateral relations between Korea and Philippines, President Borinaga, opened the program with a strong message of thanksgiving and appreciation to the members, former Presidents, partners such as Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippines (KCCP), on their roles in the success of the Association as it was hailed as the Model Alumni Association among the 55 KOICA Clubs around the world. Fresh from her participation to the 8th Koica Club Conference in Seongnam, Korea, she stressed that Korea’s strong spirit is one of the reasons why it became a donor country from being a recipient aid country in 1945. That being said, she urged everyone to continue to serve and keep making a difference through active participation. She ended her message with a quote from KOICA President “keep going together and that no one should be left behind.”
Afterwards, KOICA Philippines Country Director Mr. Song Min Hyeon expressed his deep appreciation to PhilKOFA members who voluntarily give their time, dedication and commitment to serve the Association throughout the years. He then thanked everyone and is hoping to continue to empower and inspire communities through KOICA and PhilKOFA’s shared advocacies.
A total of 110 participants and members from the different government agencies attended the 18th AGMM and Year-end Party, which was hosted by Ms. Ma. Regina Arquiza and Mr. Lorenzo Moron.
