Knowledge Sharing on Water Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation and Public Administration – Sep 27, 2019
A total of 129 participants from the different government agencies including PhilKOFA members attended the Knowledge Sharing on ”Water Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation and Public Administration” held last September 27, 2019 at Bay Leaf Hotel, Intramuros Manila.
The activity aimed to share and re-echo the knowledge our Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) scholars gained during their fellowship or scholarship program in South Korea particularly on water resources management and climate change adaptation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Magalang, Chief of Climate Change Division, EMB of the Department of Environment Natural Resources, made a call to everyone to put an act towards achieving climate resilience particularly the vulnerable communities. Mr. Magalang further stressed that “…we need to educate ourselves about climate change, we need to address this because 20-30 years from now, this is inevitable. We have to be cautious, adaptive and aware; we need access to climate change skills and understanding…”
Part also of the program was the introduction of KOICA to the participants. KOICA Program Officer Pia Sison presented a comprehensive report on the role of KOICA and its partnership with the Philippines. She also discussed the aid schemes, projects, partnership with NGOs, and the following KOICA programs: Volunteer Program, Fellowship Program and Dispatch Program.
