PHILKOFA endeavors to continue promoting its mission of creating a better world and contributing its share in attaining this mission.
Hence, the Philippine KOICA Fellows Association, Inc. (PHILKOFA) gathered at Montevista Villas Mimosa in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga on February 8. 2014 for ITS Planning Workshop to formulate plans and develop projects for the year 2014. It was attended by the Board of Trustees, Regional Coordinative Mechanism Coordinators (RCMCs) and members.
In its welcome remarks, PHILKOFA president Emmanuel Sevilla noted the excellent accomplishments of the Association through the years and was optimistic that the group can continue to duplicate all these achievements as long as PHILKOFA exists. He extended his appreciation to all present during the planning session and encouraged active participations of everyone to be able to come up with programs and projects that are really suitable for the implementation.
The review of 2013 Plans and Programs showed significant realization of projects sans some where nature intervention and emergency situations were beyond PHILKOFA’s control. The Planning Workshop was ably facilitated by Ms. Marizon Loreto, Vice President for Mindanao, who had thoroughly laid down the principles of strategic planning.
The draft results sets out the k e y s t r a t e g i c priorities for the year. The Work and Financial Plan was finalized in succeeding meetings of the Board of Trustees and was submitted to KOICA for consideration in their financial program.
The 2-day planning session culminated with teambuilding activities. The harmony and participation level of each member during the exercises defined the sense of identity that by doing something together provide long term fundamental benefits to the teams working together’ as an Association.
