The knowledge sharing with the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHILMECH) focused on three (3) topics to share the knowledge and technical expertise they have gained from KOICA’s capability programs in Korea between 2015-2017:
Reflections and Insights: TRC on Technical Capability Enhancement on Mechanization and Postharvest Handling of High Value Fruits and Vegetables by Dr. Rodolfo P. Estigoy, Chief Science Research Specialist, Applied Communication Division, PHILMECH;
- Impressions and Learning on KOICA Technical Training Course by Engr. Genaro M. Tolentino, Chief Science Research Specialist, Enterprise Development Division and Project Leader, KOICA-RPC Project; and
- Documentary Heritage Preservation and Management by Ms. Teresa Pagaragan, Senior Records Management Analyst, National Archives of the Philippines.
There were about 80 participants composed of students from the Central Luzon State University, employees from PHILMECH and the Department of Agrarian Reform.
PHILKOFA distributed slippers for 220 elementary students of Piut Elementary School, Caranglan Nueva Ecija. Further, PHILKOFA provided water pump to the elementary public school to provide potable water to the students.
PHILKOFA visited San Pedro Elementary School in Lubao Pampanga, a recipient of water pump from PHILKOFA in its past outreach project. The water pump is providing the school continuous water supply.
