To lessen the burden of our frontliners, Philippine KOICA Fellows Association (PHILKOFA) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) launched the LingaPHILKOFA program as a response in fighting the Covid19 pandemic. One of the activities under the said program was “LingaPHILKOFA para sa Frontliners ng Quezon City.”
The activity aimed to give medical grade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and food meals for the health workers of Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) located in Project 8, Quezon City. Dr. Mike Marasigan served as PhilKOFA representative and lead coordinator at the same time.
The activity was implemented on April 29 to May 1, 2020, which involved donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and provision of food meals (for 200 QCGH staffs) for dinner on April 29, 2020; serving of meal breakfast on April 30, 2020; and provision of lunch on May 1, 2020. It was implemented in partnership with De Rider represented by Dimpz Agustin; Konnichiwa X Konbanwa represented by Janus Paul Dela Cruz and Paulo Steven Cheng; Oplan Hatid laban sa COVID (Logistics Support) represented by Junie Ruiz and Tess Asuncion Millanes; and Good Vibes Digital Philippines volunteer group.
The following are the hospital supplies received by the beneficiaries:
- 90 pcs of PPE
- 90 pcs of N95 face mask
- 450pcs of surgical mask
- 90 pcs of face shield
The success of the activity shows the dedication and heart of our partner organizations, PHILKOFA and KOICA which exemplifies genuine collaboration during the time of crisis.
