Korea Donates US$500,000 for the Victims of Tropical Storm Sendong

His Excellency LEE Hye Min, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of the Philippines, officially turned-over to Undersecretary Alicia Bala of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) the Korean Government’s donation of relief goods for the victims of Tropical Storm Sendong equivalent to US$500,000 on December 29, 2011 at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City.

KOICA turns over study for Mactan Cebu International Airport to PHL government

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) turned over the final report of the Feasibility Study for the New Passenger Terminal and Master Plan of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport to the Philippine Government on November 10, 2011.  The report contains studies on the condition of existing airport facilities, environmental analysis, air traffic demand forecast, airport master plan, and feasibility study for the new passenger terminal. Resident Representative Kim Jinoh of KOICA Philippine Office handed over the report to General Manager Nigel Paul Villarete of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA).

KOICA conducted its fourth Korea Overseas Volunteer (KOV) Host Organizations’ Sharing Session on October 20, 2011 at Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati City. 2nd KOICA Workshop for the Master Planning for Mactan-Cebu International Airport

THE Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) yesterday presented the preliminary report of the $1.3-million master plan for the Mactan- Cebu International Airport, which will serve as a blueprint for the next 30 years. It also conducted a second presentation of the feasibility study for the new passenger terminal abuilding that will cost $180.7 million ($134.6 million for the first phase and US$46.1 million for the second phase).

Interim Report of C-6 Feasibility Study Presented

The Project Team of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) presented the Interim Report of the Feasibility Study of the C-6 Expressway Project during the TWG Workshop and Steering Committee Meeting on 26 and 27 July 2011, respectively.  The Team presented the initial findings of their site surveys, traffic and economic analysis, route selection and design, construction method, and design criteria.
