KOICA holds 1st ODA Evaluation Seminar

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) successfully held the 1st KOICA ODA Evaluation Seminar on August 27, 2013 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel Manila. The seminar was attended by Korean Minister and Consul General MIN Kyong Ho, KOICA Resident Representative SONG Minhyeon, PhilForest President Erwin Krishna Santos, TESDA XI Regional Director Gaspar Gayona, Cavite Provincial Health Officer George Repique Jr, and Iloilo Provincial Administrator Raul Banias.

KOICA and PAGASA Set to Implement $US-4M Meteorological Satellite Analysis System

The Korean Government through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) signed the project agreement for the “Establishment of Communication, Ocean & Meteorological Satellite Analysis System” on August 23, 2013 at the PAGASA Office in Quezon City.

Korea turns over Davao del Sur Rice Processing Complex to PHL

The Korean Government reaffirmed its commitment in helping the Philippines achieve rice self-sufficiency and food security during the July 19 inauguration ceremony of the US$3.25 M Rice Processing Complex (RPC) in Matanao, Davao del Sur. The ceremony was attended by Korean Ambassador LEE Hyuk, DA Undersecretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat, KOICA Vice President HAN Choong Sik, and Vice Governor Aileen Almendras.

Korea to Implement U$5-M Integrated Agricultural Development Project in Quirino Province

The Korean Government’s Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will implement a US$5 million project to reduce rural poverty and restore the watershed ecosystem in Quirino Province. Resident Representative SONG Minhyeon of KOICA and Governor Junie Cua of Quirino Province signed the project agreement on August 8, 2013 at the KOICA Office in Makati City.
